Terms and Conditions

These terms supplement the buyer terms of affilicon GmbH for paid NovelMansion subscriptions and govern use of the NovelMansion service by consumers and business customers. affilicon GmbH, Ägidiusstraße 14, 50937 Cologne, Germany, is the legal and tax seller for paid orders. Denis Hoeger Caballero Consulting e.K., Nobelstraße 3-5, 41189 Mönchengladbach, Germany, provides and operates the NovelMansion software as Affilicon’s service provider and performing agent.

1. Service

NovelMansion is a browser-based author platform. The exact plan, limits, price and billing period shown during checkout form part of the contract. Availability may be temporarily restricted for maintenance, security or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

2. Account and permitted use

You must provide accurate information and protect your credentials. You remain responsible for your manuscripts, images and other content and must hold the necessary rights. Accounts and beta-reader invitations may not be used unlawfully or to interfere with security or other customers.

3. Contract, prices and payment

The paid contract is concluded through the Affilicon order process and Affilicon’s order confirmation. The final price, tax treatment, recurring billing and available payment methods are stated in that order process. Affilicon collects payment and provides the invoice. NovelMansion activates access only after receiving a valid, signed payment notification from Affilicon.

4. Term and cancellation

Plans run for the monthly billing period displayed in the Affilicon order form and renew unless cancelled. There is no minimum term beyond the current paid period. Cancellation must be submitted through the cancellation route in the Affilicon order documents or through NovelMansion’s cancellation form for forwarding. It takes effect at the end of the paid period and access remains available until then. Mandatory consumer cancellation rights remain unaffected.

5. Withdrawal

Consumers may have a statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal. Affilicon’s currently published buyer terms generally provide an additional 60-day contractual return right unless different terms were agreed for the specific product. Details are provided in the withdrawal information and the Affilicon order documents.

6. Content, exports and backups

You retain rights in your content. We receive only the rights necessary to store, process, display and export it as instructed by you. You should keep independent copies of important content and verify exports before publication or printing.

7. Defects and liability

Statutory rights for defective digital products and services remain unaffected. Liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health and where mandatory law requires it. For slight negligence involving essential contractual duties, liability is limited to foreseeable typical damage.

8. Data protection and changes

Personal data is processed as described in the privacy policy. We may update these terms prospectively where objectively justified and permitted by law; material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner.

9. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice does not remove mandatory protection of the law of their habitual residence. Statutory jurisdiction rules apply.
